Erin McMackin
Summary
My ability to blend creativity and logic help me manage day-to-day tasks while never losing focus on the big picture and long-term goals.
Currently, I am the corporate communications intern at O-I, the world's leading manufacturer of glass packaging. I use my passion for glass and O-I to engage other employees through project collaboration, writing, and updating our internal website. My internship has provided me with rapidly increasing responsibilities. I am the lead on projects ranging from monthly event planning to coordinating hundreds of document translations.
I strive to always be at my best, to continually improve myself through my work and personal life. This passion pushes me to look for new ways to benefit my employer. While working for Dick's as the price and signage coordinator, I created a strategy for my team that cut down on time required for weekly signage changes by hours and reduced the number of necessary employees. As an event planning intern at A. Dominick Events, I used my time outside of work to develop a complete social media marketing plan for the company. I love to go beyond what is expected of me.
That's where my creativity comes in. New challenges excite me, because they are an opportunity to use my creativity to find a new solution. Working in an environment that continually changes keeps me at my best, and that is what I seek.
My ideal career is one that provides me with constant change, and the opportunity to use my creativity to solve new puzzles.
